Une promenade a la plage

En traversant le petit fleuve, nos sandals se sont coincés dans la boue.

Marie croit qu'elle peut attrapper un "gooeduck" (un grand palourde) mais c'est trop dur.

Les Jeunes filles Francais

What are those girls up to? Unfortunately staff photographers have been on other assignments and have missed all of the photo opportunities of Marie tubing with the Shoretts. And today the three of them went to Seattle by themselves and made their way to Capital Hill. They are expert travelers.

Before and After

I got lots of free advice from Rob on staining the deck. Most of it, I ignored. Look at that Sparky - he's so cute.

Another picture of that cute Sparky. Oh, and Hannah.

Now look at how beautiful the deck is! Even Graham commented on it.

Anonymous tip

Someone's boyfriend did really well in his triathalon.

Closing Night Performance

Hannah's signature moves stole the show.
"But we see her do this every day," Dan commented.

Such fun, such talent.
Hannah's cousin, an up and coming star.

Piles of Work

Yes, that is my husband back there. I think he's winking at me. Or else there is something in his eye.
Everyone at the closing was mad that he wore a tie, they all dressed down because they were expecting him to be wearing shorts and hiking boots.

Happy Father's Day

Besides being my favorite picture of me and my dad, this was my first photographic experiment. Before the picture was taken, I grabbed a hadful of sand, which I let run through my hand as the picture was taken to see if it would show up.
Let's take a closer look.

Nope. Can't see it. Proving my hypothesis.

Notre chat mischevious

A Mobile Office

APG's great mobile office is the envy of all the commuters. Look at this - he's all set up - phone, diary, laptop, all his files and binders (3 large briefcases and one bike pannier full) power bars on the console, water in the back, copier/fax in the trunk. And Shawn set him up with a special car antenna so he can get online anywhere. (Unless the reception is poor, in which case he can call me at the immobile office.)

Mariah Carey's cake

Guess who else got a life size birthday cake for their birthday? Mariah Carey
Guess how much it cost? $9,500
Mary and I would have made it for half that price.
No photos available.

Houseguests

No, not Marie. She comes on Monday.

Cleo's friends Otis and Kosmo are over for a visit. When I got to their house they were all packed and ready to go. They ran out the door and hopped right in the car, leaving me to collect their beds, cooler of food, vitamins and their instruction manual.

I was reading page 2 of the instruction manual about making sure food is securely packed away and out of reach, when I heard a commotion in the laundry room - Kosmo had pulled down a bag of dog biscuits and ripped it open.

Wherever we were the dogs were right there. I thought they would be complaining all day about how we don't have the ergonomic raised feeding area, we didn't heat up the meat patty the way John does, we didn't give them their pedicure like Carol Ann does, but no they were totally content to hang out with us.
Here they are watching me do laundry. (See I actually do the laundry on occasion.)
Kosmo loved cleaning out the garage.
They were very attentive to sandwich making.
And watching me eat my sandwich.
Otis quickly caught on to the dishwashing chore.
Now time to watch the evening exercise.
I get a yummy dessert - in fact, so good I wrote out the recipe in my recipe link.
What a day!

Friday night parties

A little party was in order to celebrate the office's new deck.
Dave who regularly entertains clients out there, knew the best way to arrange furniture.
Viewpoint: leaning out my office window.

Steve and Jim

Greg who built the whole thing entertained us with stories of construction disasters. (Not his, of course.)

Meanwhile back at the house...
it was the usual group of kids. It was a little quieter than usual. Then Hannah arrived and it went up a few decibels.
