Sometimes I find pictures on my camera that I did not take. So I have no idea what they mean.

The Dog Parade
Best of Show (after Cleo and Haggis)

Chinese New Year
Cleo and Haggis have been anticipating the start of the Year of the Dog, and their opportunity to march in Winslow's celebratory Dog Parade. I wish I could say that I knew red was the appropriate color to wear for Chinese New Year, ensuring good luck, and that I searched through all of our options for Chinese Dog Wear until I came up with the red jacket, but ... I cannot.

Swimming (not at this pool -ha!) laps
I recognized the guy in the next lane so I challenged him to a race.
I won.
But maybe he let me win because I let him win the 100 yard dash a couple of years ago.

Lunch Date
It's been a slow week at work, so I took a very long lunch (5 hours) and went to Seattle for errands and to surprise my sweetie and take him out to lunch. We ate at Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant and sat "outside" in the atrium making us feel like we were on vacation or somewhere like...San Diego.

Lettuce
Have you ever looked closely at a leaf of lettuce? Sorta gross.
I hope CB, my former photography teacher does not look at this because he would say, "Is that as sharp as you could get it?"
I'd better redo it with a tripod and new lighting. But for now ...

The Good Husband
Dan had no valid rebuttel for "The Good Wife" post, but nevertheless wanted good publicity. After all, he said, he does all the laundry and grocery shopping.* And how many husbands do that?, he added. ** This is very true, not to mention he is the most lovey-dovey, affectionate and devoted husband ever. These pictures show the laundry done, and the weekly menu list made out.
What a good husband!

*He is the lawyer and is fully aware how that has nothing to do with my argument. He was misled into thinking "the good wife" equaled "bad husband"
**We will not mention that he has no idea what tools we have in the garage or where they are located.

Police Blotter
January 16; 10:56 pm
A commercial flight crew reported being flashed by a laser from the ground when it passed over the island. The report coincided with a power transformer going out at Madison/Torvanger and that flash is believed to have lit up the sky and illuminated the airplane.

New neon boats

Another cell-phone police blotter report:
January 9; 10:14 pm
A Bainbridge man reported getting a suspicious voice mail on his cell phone. He had recently activated the account, and believes the message may have been left for the phone's previous owner or was possibly a misdial.

Isn't he the perfect boyfriend? Red hair, brilliant, and he likes bikes! And likes Gwen. And is photogenic.

Photoshop work
And it is hard work. I have three reference books and did online research which has not helped at all.
I should feel sorry for Becky, because she is -ahem- doing homework. But seems to be spending a lot of time on Google Earth (my favorite website) and playing with matches.
This is my beginning photo.

This is fluorescent chalk. It takes about 10 minutes to download each one, so I will limit the display to only the most beautiflul or dramatic examples.

This is neon nights.
Whew! That was enough hard work for tonight.

Does anyone remember this far back? When Hannah was so young and Sparky was so tiny?

MLK day. Evening at home. Mew-mew watched as Dan and I played train game. I won for the third time in a row. This led to a discussion on whether it is luck or intellect and strategy that determines the outcome. Guess who was on which side?
Anyone who frequents this blog might get the idea that Becky spends all her time on the sofa, demanding that her mother bring her frozen chocolate chip cookie dough and a fork. The truth is that she is very active socially and athletically, and the only time we ever see her around here is when she is working hard on homework (therefore confined to the sofa [the modern day desk]) or if we want to wake up after midnight when she really wakes up and is busy acquiring new, interesting skills such as learning to pick locks.

Gross glob of hair

This was in the shower drain. Believe it or not, the plumber said this was NOT the biggest hair glob he has pulled out. It would be enough for a full wig if the hair was in better shape.
