Concert Review - Army Corps of Architects

Another hometown band, the Army Corps of Architects (the name, duh, as everyone knows, is a Death Cab for Cutie song) performed last night at EMP.

They beat out hundreds of bands to reach the EMP Sound Off competition last night. Way to go!
Our on-the-spot reporter for this event submitted the following review:

Concert Review - Holy Ghost Revival

Our on the spot reporter had this to say about last night's concert.
Conor Kiley holds the tight cohesive sound and feel to Holy Ghost Revival not only with his spectacular voice, but his strutting, his body, his hair, his spectacular energy and emotion. Island Music Guild was likely an unusual venue for this band, but one which appealed to their hometown fans, which included a mix of both much older and younger audience members than usual.

Advice quoted (courtesy BI Review) by Conor Kiley (on right in photo [and Ruth and Ned's son]) "Don't be afraid to venture into your mother's closet," (that would be Ruth??) "And rock n' roll and polar fleece don't mix. If you want to play in a band, you have to get rid of every bit of polar fleece you own."

Conor, lead singer has a voice once described as "a lovely glam-rock falsetto".

Conor was also quoted in the Review as saying this about the band's style: "There is also an element of grown men dressing like rich women, but I can't really explain that." Neither can I.
