Year in Review - Part II

Photo of the Year
Summer Fun

Testing new camera

I leave the special effects testing to my technical consultant. I tested photographic quality.

Below is an enlargement taken from the photo above. I was impressed.

My Most Embarassing Moment

I knew something bad was up when Marilynn made me try on a human shirt
Then she had to take me on a walk where all the other dogs snickered as they passed

My Brilliant Creation

Using two of Dan's discarded turtlenecks I created an outifit for Cleo to keep her clean on walks!
BEFOREEven a wipe-down does not get rid of the dirt.

AFTERNo wipe down is even needed!

A Few Charming Self Portraits by HKC

The Rest of us at the Festivus

Dan the chef did a fantastic job

Diane and Netta (aka Jan)

Rob can never relax - he has to pause and measure our fireplace for future reference on house upgrades.

Mary let me win the Festivus arm wrestling. Please note her totally trendy fingernail polish color. We will all be searching for that color.

Bret's Christmas

It is a rare occasion that Bret journeys from New York City to bestow his presence among us.

Remember his clever game of cemetary, a game designed to get kids to compete in holding still?

Bret with Becky

Bret and the boys

Bret with Guy (dog/pillow) and Hannah

Bret with Mary (not drunk - their normal behavior)

We'll miss you Bret!

Up at the Crack of Noon

Becky and Hannah finally woke up to see what Santa brought.

Candy cane, toothbrush, and kitty cards!

Cleo performed a "squeakectomy" on her new toy in record time - 6 minutes.

Red tinge at Purple

Before taking Gwen to the airport, we had dinner at "Purple", a restaurant downtown. I found out two things about my camera from this picture: the image stabilization feature does not work on one second exposure times, and I'd better figure out how to get rid of those cool effects that Becky set, so that I don't get red tinges.

Nifty Tricks

Becky immediately discovered cool features on my new camera:
One is called "color accent" which changes the image to black and white except for a specified color.

The other is called "color swap" which allows swapping a specific color. Here she swapped a blue shade with the red of the tomato.

The Human Menorah

Mary saved me and Dan by having us over for a delicious dinner in a home that had lights and heat! Then we got to experience a clever variation on celebrating Hannukah (useful when you have not unpacked your menorah yet).

PS Mary, I hope you remembered to throw away that chicken I brought over in case Dan insisted on making use of it.

You can always play Candyland

The Show Must Go On

Unfortunately the show did not go on with every performance, because there was no power.

Fortunately the Sunday matinee went on as scheduled. It featured Hannah and Joce in their typical behavior.
