Double Feature at the Lynwood Theater

Jeff Groman’s research into the bygone endurance sport of six-day bicycle racing, turned into a ten year passion, culminating in not only a book, but a documentary film narrated by Frank Deford. The book, which won first place for “Best Sports Book” of 2006 by USA Book News, is now available at Eagle Harbor Books. The film has not yet been released, but a special benefit screening was held to a full house at the Lynwood Theater. All proceeds will be used to establish an education fund for the daughters of Islander Larry McMullen who recently died in a car accident.

The second film of the evening was "Christmas in Connecticut" a 1945 screwball comedy about a successful New York food and housekeeping columnist who actually can do neither.
Great entertainment!
