An All-American Day

Our special guest had at least one all-American day. It started with a trip to the supermarket and to the farmers market, where he could inspect strange American food.

This was followed by attending a Mariners Baseball game with thousands of other people and watching the Mariners lose.

The all-American dinner menu: guacamole (see Dan's recipe in the recipe link), Mojo barbecued chicken, corn on the cob, salad, roasted fingerling potatoes, and homemade apple pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Notice Daniel is wearing different clothes?? His suitcase finally arrived. Nice jacket, Becks.
The day is not over until all of Becky's girlfriends come over. So far, I think Daniel likes America.

another great entry in the blog....just one little complaint: you should consult becky for a photo from the game, we worked very hard to take some cool action shots, that's all. Oh, and thanks again for dinner it was delicious, as was dessert! - jlt

Daniel has real strange food in his hands. I've never seen it before. What is it?
Fortunately he got his suitcase back. It was almost boring to see him everyday in the same t-shirt!
An friend told me that a baseball game is a real American happening, like football in Holland. Nice you were there.
Fortunately you eat tastefull. It doesn't look like a fat snack at all! Carine

Food update: Daniel tried the traditional ballpark snacks - Cracker Jacks, hot dog and peanuts. Well done! (So, Carine, he did get some fat snacks, but it was all for cultural study.)

jlt: My location photographers have been negligent about turning in their assignments before deadlines. We will update with new pictures as soon as they are submitted.
